This is a must have for home pizza makers...

After extensive experimentation/hair-pulling/botched results, please consider sparing yourself the headache of stones and opting for steel. Regardless of your heat source: electric, propane, wood - steel is the way to go for consistent amazing results. Are there applications that use stone to great effect? Yes. But those are engineered that way. Most people don't have systems that benefit from that kind of engineering. If you want to work with your oven/grill/outdoor pizza cooker just get a steel and be done with it. PRO TIP: the thicker the better if you're going to be doing multiple pizzas as it carries the heat even better.

We make sourdough pizza about every other week and it’s like a party! Because this steel is so heavy, I just leave it on one of the racks in the oven. We heat the oven to 500° and let the steel warm up another 30 minutes before putting our pizzas on it. It fits two 10” pizzas easily. The instructions say it only takes five minutes to cook but ours takes 10. It bakes perfectly, and there is no soggy crust, but just crunchy delight!

This fits perfectly in our Breville Smart Oven Air. It creates a very nice even heat, perfect for baking projects and making excellent pizza with perfect crust! It's really hard to find a steel that fits a toaster oven, but this one is the perfect size.

used once so far and can say WOW!! what a difference over a pizza stone! follow instructions for pretreatment and your good to go. buy pizza crust from Gordon's food service, and ya end up with pizza as good as any store bought.

Pre heat the steel for about 30 minutes and your crust will be perfect! Keep your eye on the pizza, it usually takes less time than the packaging calls for.

Made a few pies last night. First off, it is heavy. Its thick. I did preheat at 550 for ~45mins. I used a slow rise dough recipe (72hrs). Pizza's came out nice an crispy. Definitely better than my old pizza stone.

A nice bonus is that the finger holes are larger than the higher-end brand, so my fingers actually fit and I can use them as designed.
